JOB SUMMARY

AutoCAD programmer position: looking for someone to convert NC1 files to DXF files for burn tables. Prefer someone with industrial experience because you will be required to go out into the warehouse on a regular basis and locate material, interact with our warehouse burners, etc.

Monday-Friday 10am-7pm (1 hour lunch)

CNC Machine operator and programmer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Responsible for planning numerical control program to contour burning of metal parts based off of drawings provided by customers.

· Must be efficient in programming in data points, to be used by a variety of computer numerical control (CNC) machines.

· Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.

· Reviews blue prints, work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications to understand requirements and characteristics of various metals.

· Chooses correct machine and application for the job according to work order.

· Determines processing specifications such as materials, forms, sizes, surface conditions, material defects dimensions, tolerances, operational sequences and adjusts/reprograms controls as needed.

· Indicates speeds, feeds and controls to determine operation sequence for various materials and operating conditions.

· Creates complicated or irregularly shaped parts or sections per established drawings, requiring careful attention to detail.

· Compares CNC drawing with original sheet to assure accuracy of work.

· Diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments to provide accurate instructions to machine operator.

· Choses most prudent inventory physically available to reduce material handling and optimize production.

· Completes work order paperwork/documentation.

· Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

Must participate in safety team meetings to ensure that proper awareness and adequate safety measures are in place while in warehouse.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
