COGNITIVE RETRAINER - Full Time
Immediate opportunity available at Park Terrace Care Center, an inpatient sub-acute brain injury rehabilitation facility in Queens, NY. The program is certified by the NYS Department of Health, is a participant of the New York State Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems of Care at both Mt. Sinai and Rusk Rehabilitation.
The Re-trainer will provide a diverse range of services to individuals with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries. This includes conducting cognitive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing cognitive rehabilitation to individuals with impairments in consciousness, orientation and memory, expressive and/or receptive language, social skills, and higher-level thinking skills.
Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Psychology or related field, or a background in occupational therapy, rehabilitation or vocational counseling. Neuropsychological testing and/or experience with behavior management desirable.
