About The Opportunity

Provide commercial support to GLS finance and procurement. The analyst is responsible for maximising GLS contract margin through financial analysis over key contracts as well as the wider business. The role includes supporting Contract Managers via regular reporting and analysis, highlighting opportunities and risk, with key indicator’s being back end override, margin and profit. The analyst will provide ad-hoc reporting and will support strategic decision making within the procurement area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Contract Managers to manage all commercial aspects of override contracts
  • Prepare market share reports/data and provide strategic analysis of results
  • Development and analysis of destinational reports, tracking key travel trends and forward forecasting
  • Drive commercially based outcomes with Contract Managers; Develop a strong relationship with contract managers and destination leaders
  • Facilitate and drive Sales Review meetings with Procurement teams, bringing transparency to contract performance
  • Provide supporting data to measure contract and supplier / competitor set / regional performance for the business and selling partners
  • Understand and communicate the importance of ROI
  • Confidence to challenge others and promote their own decisions
  • Good understanding of reporting on financial data and construct financial models
  • Adapt financial information to meet user needs
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data in varying forms
  • Ability to drill down and understand underlying facts
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reporting
  • Willing to become involved in procurement team based activities and planning days

Experience & Qualifications

  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Conversant with Salesforce
  • Understanding database principles and SQL logic
  • Exposure to Power BI
  • Understands the various relationships within SF and is able to update/amend as required as well as run reports and extract data
  • Knowledge of travel industry and Flight Centre business would be beneficial
  • Interpret financial management reports
  • Financial modelling experience desirable
  • Provide financial services to the business
