Superior is a rapidly growing construction company looking for a self-driven talented Supervisor who has aspirations for advancement to perform the following:

Underground Utility Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:

Lead construction crew to the successful completion of daily tasks and ultimately, quality projects. Work with project superintendent to meet or exceed daily production goals through planning and productivity of workforce. Run an excavator to meet goals proficiently. Manage, Delegate and work along side employees. Foster a positive working relationship with sub-contractors and their personnel.

Job Qualifications:

Proven ability to lead others; by skill, leadership qualities and work ethic. Must have substantial experience in construction related craft and leadership. Strong understanding of construction methods, means, materials. Ability to ready plans, specifications, schedules and to for-see potential challenges. Knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Install sanitary sewer, storm water sewer and consumable water structures and pipe systems.
• Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints and coordinate layouts with project manager
• Cut pipes to required lengths.
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
• Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
• Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Intimate and working knowledge of industry standard hand signals.
• Train others in pipe-laying techniques.

• Equipment operating required (Excavator, Mini Excavator, Skid steer, ect.)
• Correctly identify proper necessary components
• Must do daily paperwork (daily reports, timekeeping, etc)
• Must be insurable
• Must pass pre employment drug test.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Must be able to do ongoing labor work in all kinds of weather.

*****Job requires working out of town for possibly a week at a time. Home most weekends.******

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
