This is an exciting opportunity for you to join Offsets team in Cheveron New Energies at a key growth stage. You will be a part of a global team of capable and motivated individuals. Offsets comprise all nature-based and technological activities resulting in enhanced carbon sequestration, and the marketing, trading and sale of resulting carbon credits and other services and products. The Commercial Coordinator – Offsets is responsible for assessing & developing commercial opportunities for offsets, including complex & integrated commercial assessments, and supporting progression of such commercial opportunities through identification and development across a broad scope of offset types.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Develop commercial opportunities for offsets, including but not limited to: Overall value chain delivery commercial strategy strategies for complex, integrated solutions Progress commercial opportunities through strategy & initial identification in coordination with business development teams.
Applies knowledge of the customer and competitor landscape, policy implications, and market trends.
Incorporates customer and end user feedback, to lock in commercial viability for Offsets product offerings.
Accountable for iterating on target opportunity, learning and validating or disproving and pivoting away based on fit of the customer value proposition.
Partners with business development and key Chevron teams from strategy setting through the identification of opportunities, prioritization, assessment, and execution.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any business, engineering, law. environmental sciences
At least 5 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial Acumen & Negotiation Skills –Commercial knowledge and experience. Demonstrated proficiency in identifying opportunities and negotiating outcomes with an enterprise perspective, preferably JV, offtake, and project development agreements. Offsets experience is a plus. Ability to analyze, develop and execute plans to meet business objectives.
Build Relationships & Communication – Excellent communication skills and high energy/proactive nature with a proven record in establishment and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers. Experience influencing multi-discipline teams and working across boundaries within Chevron to share information and resources.
Leadership Behaviors – Self-motivated and self-directed to successfully complete key projects and take responsibility for outcomes. Empower others to make decisions and recognize them. Important Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $147,900 – $256,300.
