General Description:

The Commercial Data Analyst position reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, with meaningful interaction with internal and external sales reps. The role will provide sales support, reporting and analytics to support the customer-facing teams to help drive profitable growth. The analyst will use internal and external systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI to generate reports and dashboards to assist in making business and customer-related decisions. Key requirements for success: effective communication skills, relationship building with internal and external business partners, ability to professionally represent team objectives, and strong organizational skills.

Note that this position is based in Englewood, CO with potential for hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities of Commercial Data Analyst:

Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist sales team with new customer and renewal bid pricing and margin analysis.
  • Preparation of models to evaluate margin impact of proposed pricing.
  • Analyze customer opportunities and make recommendations for optimal business terms.
  • Assist in analyzing customer ordering and usage patterns using internal and external tools and communicate trends across the commercial teams.
  • Assist in monthly update process for the revenue assurance model.
  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate analytical tools and reporting, which provides meaningful decision-making perspectives for commercial team.
  • Provide sales territory and customer analysis for all business segments, including, trend analysis, product rankings, CRM analysis and other miscellaneous metrics and reporting.
  • Develop business cases to help drive the decision-making process in support of major programs or initiatives.
  • Maintain broad awareness of both primary existing as well as potential new competitors.

Presentation

  • Assist Sales and Commercial Operations with creation and of presentations for periodic internal and customer business reviews.
  • Compute monthly/quarterly sales rep commissions.
  • Upon request, assist in the management of third-party vendors and Leiters’ key partners.


Supervisory Responsibilities of Commercial Data Analyst:

Experience and Necessary Skills of Commercial Data Analyst:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in contracting or pricing.
  • Health care/Pharma/Hospital industry experience is a plus. Ideally with product sales focus.
  • Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup/Xlookup), PowerPoint and Word.
  • Microsoft Power BI and/or Dynamics experience is a plus.


Salary: $70K-$85K
