A Sourcing Leader - Services is a role responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing of a specific category of services within an organization. The job description of a Sourcing Leader - Services typically includes the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for the designated category of services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and favorable terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and evaluate the impact of external factors on the procurement of services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and advancements in technology related to the procurement of services.
  • Look for opportunities to incrementally optimize the purchase requests for services: creation, maintenance, and related payment processes to meet future requirements or leverage delivered systems functionality and technology
  • Understand and recommend high impact projects for existing and emerging products and services that drive meaningful results: reduce cost and risk and improve quality. Focus will be on Services and Products required by different departments
  • Source materials and services from new and existing suppliers to improve product quality and ongoing cost reductions while mitigating supply risk and improving customer support/experience.
  • Meet Cinemark’s requirements for quality, on time delivery, cost, technological/manufacturing innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Category/Commodity Managers, Sourcing Analysts, departments to evaluate and select sources.
  • Understand and manage initial and long-term price negotiations across suppliers.
  • Program management – able to lead several programs to execute on sourcing of key strategic initiatives.
  • Align with team members from different departments like HR, Marketing, IT, Food and beverage to understand supplier performance expectations in meeting the supply plan.
  • Function as a primary focal point for all supplier issues related to projects owned.


Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of “req to check” – services processes, policies, and technologies.
  • Experience with vendor management, negotiating vendor agreements.
  • Experience with procurement and purchasing ERP system applications, workflows, and administration.
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skillsets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to create leader, user, and project documentation and procedures, clearly and concisely.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills; and
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in relevant commodity categories
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Program management experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as proven ability to work within team structure as an active participant and drive results through direct and indirect influence/collaboration
  • Ability to successfully function in “fast-pace” ambiguous environment
  • APICS, ISM, PMP, Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated capability of advancing further within the organization through track record of increasing responsibility and quantifiable results
  • Completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree with coursework in accounting, finance, operations management, IT, business administration, supply chain or a related field or equivalent experience, including any supply chain certification.
  • 3-7 years of professional experience with requisition of services; and
  • Experience with implementing ERP and/or DW/BI solutions strongly preferred.
