Construction Project Manager – Carlsbad Capital Projects

100% onsite in Carlsbad CA

9-10 month contract opportunity

Pay: $75.00 an hour

Must be familiar with CA building codes

Your Role:
As a Project Manager in the ISC Engineering Project Management team, you will lead project planning and execution activities for complex Capital investment projects aimed at new asset creation or significant modifications to the existing company assets. These types of projects require selection of execution strategy, project scope development, estimating, project planning, hazard review, detailed design, contractor selection, construction management, safety management, commissioning and startup.

To succeed in this role, you will need to leverage your excellent communication skills to collaborate with global and cross-functional teams. You will need to translate complex issues into actionable concepts and will be counted upon to solve unique or complex project management issues. Since a major determinant of project success is optimally utilizing internal and external resources, you will also need to continuously assess performance gaps and bring them to leadership attention.

Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Experience in commercial office/warehouse construction and construction safety practices

- 8 years relevant experience in San Diego County office/warehouse construction

- Superior PC software skills to effectively manage project schedules and spending

Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Experience implementing projects in a manufacturing plant environment
- Experience in executing small to medium capital projects (up to $10MM) using various execution strategies including design/build, design/bid/build and EPC turnkey
- Knowledge of local Carlsbad and San Diego County regulations and permitting processes
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of situations while maintaining expected cost, schedule, quality and scope
