Job Title: Contingency Planning Analyst

Work Location

· Washington, DC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in contingency planning for information technology systems.

· Demonstrated expertise in NIST SP 800-34 and related federal contingency planning policies, procedures, and best practices.

· Working knowledge and experience implementing NIST SP 800-34.

· Demonstrated experience in IT contingency plan development and implementation throughout the system lifecycle.

· Demonstrated experience in continuity of operation and disaster recovery support.

· Demonstrated experience with ITCP test plan development, execution, and reporting.

· Demonstrated experience with ITCP training program development and delivery.

· Hands-on documentation experience supporting contingency requirements efforts.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS) are a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement contingency plans for information technology systems, in accordance with NIST SP 800-34 and related federal contingency planning policies, procedures, and best practices.

· Work with project teams to identify and assess risks to information technology systems, and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks.

· Conduct contingency plan testing and document test results in accordance with ITCP test plan development, execution, and reporting standards.

· Develop and deliver ITCP training programs to ensure system owners and users are aware of their roles and responsibilities in the event of a contingency.

· Develop and maintain documentation to support contingency requirements efforts.

· Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and templates for contingency planning.

· Participate in the development and implementation of continuity of operation and disaster recovery plans.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest federal contingency planning policies, procedures, and best practices.

· Collaborate with other teams such as security, infrastructure, and operations to ensure that contingency plans are properly integrated into the environment.
