Bayard Printing Group is looking to hire 2 continuous improvement managers in our bindery department for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The continuous improvement managers ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase efficiencies.

Duties of a plant manager include but are not limited to:

· Building production schedules;

· Making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines;

· Reviewing the productivity to ensure production goals are met;

· Set up and maintain equipment;

· Address employee relations/disciplinary issues;

· Track employee attendance;

· Verify employee hours for payroll;

· Ensure quality control checks are conducted and any error is found/corrected immediately;

· Ensure production reporting boards are completed;

· Conduct team meetings, and;

· All other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

· 3-4 years experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes, production and administration;

· 3-4 years experience related to scheduling and planning manufacturing processes and inventory;

· 3-4 years experience in Lean Manufacturing with the goal of increasing efficiency by minimizing waste and improving productivity;

· 3-4 years experience in continuous improvement as an ongoing process in manufacturing to improve products, systems, and services;

· 4-5 years experience of mechanical knowledge working with mechanical systems, tools and machines;

· 3-4 years experience in problem solving and troubleshooting;

· 5-6 years experience in team management relating to managing the operations and employees of a manufacturing facility;

· 3-4 years experience in production management with activities related to converting raw materials into finished products;

· 3-4 years experience in successful quality control measures;

· 4-5 years experience with and knowledge of methods to improve business processes to increase efficiency and quality of outcomes;

· 2-3 years experience working on a production line and;

· 3-4 years experience managing and optimizing the efficiency of an organization’s processes.

Physical Demands

· Ability to walk/stand for an 8 hour shift

· Ability to bend/stoop/squat/kneel as need in machine set -up or repair

· Ability to work in an environment with elevated temperatures

· Manual dexterity

Experience and Education

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Production Management or similar field

· 3 years as a manufacturing team leader, production manager, plant manager or similar field

· Equivalent combination of training and experience

Must be professional in appearance and able to communicate effectively with people of differing socioeconomic status.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
