Job Summary
Serve as a working manager overseeing the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies in a manufacturing plant with an aluminum foundry. Oversees a team comprised of CI Engineers and serves on the senior leadership team as a subject matter expert.

Continuous Improvement Manager - 1091
Job Summary
Serve as a working manager overseeing the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies in a manufacturing plant with an aluminum foundry. Oversees a team comprised of CI Engineers and serves on the senior leadership team as a subject matter expert.
Job Duties
- Collaborate with functional leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization's continuous improvement initiative
- Oversee the creation and implementation of SOP’s and work instructions
- Oversee the work of a team that evaluates existing processes and identify opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement
- Develop and monitor the implementation of process changes meant to result in cost or waste reduction, productivity improvement, customer satisfaction and profitability increases
- Track progress against established goals
- Recommend changes that may impact floor layout, material flow, or machinery selection and use
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
- Ability to perform complex tasks and established processes
- Lead and direct the work the CI team having full authority for personnel decisions
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimally 6 years of CI experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
