Contract Analyst Job at Indeck Power Equipment Company
Indeck Power Equipment is looking for a Contract Analyst who wants an active role in customer contract review and redlining, and negotiation. This self-motivated individual will work alongside the Corporate VP/CFO and sales teams as a key player in helping to close new customer orders. In addition, this individual will support the Corporate VP/CFO and the accounting group with other types of contract reviews & administration, general corporate legal & compliance work, litigation support, special projects, and administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews, drafts, edits, and redlines contracts and other legal documents. Will also play a critical role in the contract negotiating team.
- Reviews, tracks, and supports litigation efforts internally and with outside counsel.
- Engages and supports outside counsel for difficult customer collection issues.
- Maintains business filings for various corporate entities.
- Independently handle assigned projects which may include research, analysis, engagement of third-party services, compiling data, developing reports, and gathering supporting documents.
- Support VP/CFO and Controller.
- Reviews and analyzes legal bills.
- Assist accounting group functions.
- Maintain follow-up calendar for legal and other corporate matters.
- Maintains Corporate Record Books.
- Organizes and maintains legal files.
- Performs other projects or duties as assigned, some of which will be finance and accounting related.
Qualifications/requirements:
- Must be extremely detailed oriented in order to successfully work with contract language.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be well organized and have strong follow-up skills.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
- 4 or more years of related experience.
