Arconic is seeking a Controller to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN.
Profile : The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a business partner and key member of the Company’s leadership team.
Essential Functions: The Controller within AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for directing the finance function at a key manufacturing facility.
General duties for the Controller include but are not limited to:
- Complying with all facets of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as coordinated by Arconic Corporate.
- Implementing and maintaining all internal control policies and procedures as directed by Arconic Corporate (Self Assessments, Trend Tracker, etc.).
- Maintaining the integrity of the Lafayette Operations financial statements through the Monthly Financial Closing in accordance with Arconic Corporate requirements.
- Executing overall responsibility for Annual Operating Plan.
- Providing monthly financial forecasting for Lafayette Operations and monthly analysis of results.
- Providing financial analysis and support to the Location Manager of Lafayette Operations and the BU Controller as requested.
- Working Capital management.
- Attracting, retaining, & developing financial talent.
- Supporting the organization for tax related audits (Sales & Use, Property).
- Processing Adhoc requests.
- Reporting support for the BU.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 10 years of experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical background, with demonstrated managerial skills and the ability to motivate people
- CPA/CMA certification
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the ABS principles and Rules in Use or Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Possess a high degree of people skills as he/she must motivate and influence others including those not under his/her direct supervision
- Knowledge of conventional aluminum processing
- Thorough understanding of Metal Accounting &hedging, as well as profit and loss experience/expertise
