We are hiring a controller for one of our clients. The controller will manage and oversee all accounting operations of the multistate company and ensure the company is in compliance with all statutory and GAAP accounting requirements. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline the budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. You will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Responsibilities include:

Manage, maintain, and monitor all accounts, ledgers, reporting systems, and accounting processes ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, as well as covenant compliance testing. Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.

Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies. Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Provide guidance and support to the accounting team with quality leadership that creates an environment of productivity, trust, and respect. Monitor financial processes to achieve maximize accuracy and efficiency. Recommend system changes as needed and lead implementation of any accounting system improvements and enhancements. Keep up to date regarding new accounting pronouncements and properly document company application of accounting guidance. Lead the month-end close procedures and coordinate the preparation of compliance and regulatory reporting in a timely manner.

Perform treasury and banking activities and other duties required.

Development of new internal control policies and procedures for all entities owned under corporate umbrella. Implementation and documentation of all Standard Operating Procedures relating to financial transactions within corporate umbrella companies.

CPA/CMA license preferred. QuickBooks Online experience is preferred.

Construction and land development accounting experience preferred.

QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Sage 50/100 experience preferred.
