Controller - Beaumont, TX

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting and financial functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes. You will play a vital role in the monthly close process, financial analysis, and the implementation of improved procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring the maintenance of complete and accurate accounting records.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of monthly operating results to identify any discrepancies or areas of concern.
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and year-end requirements.
  • Implement, document, and maintain effective processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cash applications, closing, and reporting cycles.
  • Perform thorough analytical reviews of operations, including balance sheet, income statement, bookings, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide support for external financial audits.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.
  • Complete ad hoc reporting and data analytics as needed.
  • Train and oversee the general accounting staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BBA) in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience with ERP applications is required.
