Position Summary
Leads the development, communication, and implementation of projects and improvement initiatives from a division perspective. Assists and advises project sponsors, division leadership, project managers, and project teams to ensure the successful execution of division and enterprise initiatives. Leads or facilitates training and change management and/or business support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Champions, consults, communicates, participates in, and monitors progress on division and enterprise initiatives.
- Builds partnerships, collaborates, and serves as the division contact with division/enterprise project teams and external contractors to effectively define, understand, and deliver on project execution. Coordinates the involvement of outside service providers required for assigned projects. Works with appropriate personnel to establish contractual terms and conditions.
- Coordinates work throughout the project life cycle to ensure division requirements are identified, documented, and met, via requirements gathering, use cases, and business rule development and testing.
- Acts as division liaison to project teams by consulting with division subject-matter experts and technical resources to assist project managers with addressing issues, managing scope, mitigating risk, and resolving resource contentions, ensuring project success.
- Provides regular insights and recommendations to maintain project health via reporting and communications to division leadership, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment. Ensures issue resolution and communicates resolutions to project teams and division leadership as required. Facilitates decision-making as required.
- In conjunction with opportunities identified by division leadership to transform business processes and provide innovative ideas leveraging technology for business challenges, ensures recommendations are implemented, resulting in efficient solutions. Supports and participates directly in initiative development, including socializing ideas to key stakeholders, and regularly makes presentations to division management.
- Manages the planning, development, coordination, communication, and implementation of division improvement initiatives.
- Ensures delivery of division training and end-user support during and after the project/improvement implementation.
- Implements critical change management initiatives on behalf of division leadership.
- Assists with development and maintenance of annual project roadmap for division.
- Coordinates and completes special projects and performs other duties as required.

Competencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, project management, or related field and seven years of project participation or project management experience; or
- Associate's degree in business, finance, information systems, project management, or related field and nine years project participation or project management experience; or
- High school diploma or GED and eleven years project participation or project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of division functions and technology platforms, required. Strong communication and change management skills, required. Strong knowledge of insurance operations, required. Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and graphics, required. Strong knowledge of process methodology tools, preferred.
