The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $76,253 - $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
This is what you will do in this role:
- Complete forecasting tasks (YLF and scorecard); develop staffing plan; develop project implementation plan; perform the project close out process, including the close out checklist; verify design of a basic flow control area such as Pick Module or Slapper; design advanced area such as shipping or any type of Merge; design complex area such as LPA, Sortation, or Zone Route; review equipment list and verify accuracy with relation to drawings; create drawings and BOM and coordinate a SoW for others to perform work; order parts in anticipation of projects to prevent long lead time items; apply air pressure switches properly to a design; create DO from quote and project specifications; define area boundaries on a composite layout; able to obtain barcode and understand use, along with documenting scanner information on drawings; determine network settings for switches and gateways, following Standard Work design network layout and assign addresses; Verify PLC code and emulation for a basic flow control area; write PLC code and emulate for an advanced area; create map for PLC to PLC communication; document and program Energy Management requirements; document and program End/Start of Batch/Wave requirements; lead commissioning efforts for basic areas; and commission advanced and complex areas.
What we are looking for:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or closely related occupation. Also requires 2 years of experience with PLC – HMI experience with Rockwell Software, Siemens, Automation Direct; Visual C++ Programming; PAC systems; Scada (Ignition); Advanced AutoCAD (Vanilla & Electrical); Project Management (Microsoft Project); Industrial communication (EIP, ASI, CAN, TCP/IP, Modbus, Profinet); applying UL508A and NFPA70 (NEC) standards to detailed design electrical and control architecture; developing PLC code from scratch and HMI screens; Electrical/Controls layout, Detailed elevation view; designing Single line and controls diagram for adds-on conveyor to existing conveyor system; developing labor and cost estimates for future projects; and BOM and Order Entry. Up to 40% travel required to various unanticipated locations. Pre-employment processing for this position requires drug testing and passing background checks.
