Job Summary:
Responsible for the preparation of all outlet, banquet, bakery, or cafeteria hot/cold items according to recipes and specifications set by the company.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members.
- Prepare and plate menu items for outlets, banquets, and cafeteria.
- Read and prepare ticketed items for designated station maintaining hotel standards.
- Identify and make basic sauces and dressings.
- Prepare and cook food using basic techniques such as sauté, poach, steam and bake.
- Set up, prepare and breakdown for buffets and functions.
- Complete daily inventory of food items and ensure proper storage and rotation of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment following safety guidelines.
- Maintain clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary work area.
- Relieve lower rated cooks and pantries, provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time
Shift Times: 4AM-2PM
Compensation: $20.78/hr - $27.30/hr
