The Critical Care Transport Trainer (CCTT) will serve as Abiomed’s training expert in the Critical-Care transport space. The CCTT will focus on the implementation, delivery, and monitoring of transport trainings to critical-care transportation customers throughout the US. The goal of the CCTT is to educate on safe and effective application of Abiomed’s products during patient transport.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities: vibration, thermal, reliability magnetic and systems analyses to

  • Improve patient outcomes and drive patient growth through transport training opportunities.
  • Streamline and standardize training for transportation companies/hospital-based transport programs, to include new personnel in the space and refresher training for those already trained.
  • Provide training on Impella platform, as it relates to transporting a patient on support, both in person and virtual.
  • Host calls for transport personnel on updates and new information as needed.
  • Participate in Medical Transport Tradeshows as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience of emergency medical flight support.
  • CFRN, CTRN or FP-C preferred.
  • Experience instructing and facilitating clinical education.
  • Experience with the Impella Heart Pump, temporary and durable Mechanical Circulatory Support and ECMO Therapy
  • CVICU or Cath Lab background preferred.
  • Medical device/Industry experience preferred.
  • Must possess a passion for training and education and be recognized as a clinical expert within the Critical-Care transport space.
  • Must have strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-reliant; takes initiative; results-oriented, open minded and approachable.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written)
  • Requires ability to travel 2-3 days per week. This is a part time, non-benefitted role and hours will vary each week (0-20 hours) depending upon training and customer needs.
