Job Summary/Basic Function:
Under general supervision, perform custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of the institution's facilities within assigned areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/shower rooms and fixtures in accordance with established procedures and standards; refill restroom dispensers
  • Clean whiteboards, chalkboards and erasers; dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop or vacuum floors; empty wastebaskets or trash
  • Replace light bulbs as needed; clean cobwebs; square off furniture; clean tabletops, door jams, elevators, stairwells and entry glass; set up and take down equipment
  • Strip, clean, buff and apply finish to floors
  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools
  • Lock and unlock buildings; secure building when facilities are not in use; report unauthorized occupants to security, supervisor or maintenance
  • Follow written and verbal instructions about the use of chemicals, supplies and equipment; comply with safety policies and procedures
  • Report the need for repairs and or maintenance
  • Wash interior or easily accessible exterior windows
  • Perform other related duties as required



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Physical ability to do required work
  • Ability to work independently and in team situations
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must possess a valid Washington State drivers license

Work Hours: Hours are from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday and 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Friday. Summer schedule may vary.

Salary: $2,764 to $3,401 per month, plus benefits
