Local Candidates Only. No Relocation Available. This position is responsible for processing orders, preparing correspondence and fulfilling customer needs to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction consistent with the overall business philosophy. Also included is the monitoring of jobs through the manufacturing and warehousing processes to ensure on time delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the sales department regarding customer setup and general requirements.
- Receives and processes customer orders for warehouse preparation using electronic ordering system.
- First point of contact for customers regarding issues (delivery, quality, billing, etc.).
- Works closely with manufacturing and warehousing to ensure on time customer deliveries.
- Uses knowledge of products and processes to ensure accurate information is communicated to all parties.
- Supports sales department with administrative tasks.
- Tracks, and accurately reports applicable metrics of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Escalates issues as necessary.
Educational/Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in related field OR High School Diploma and at least 3 years of customer service or production coordination required.
- Prior manufacturing or distribution experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Position Requirements: Work is typically performed in a plant operations, warehouse or office environment, requires periodic walking from department to department, and some stair climbing. Hand/eye coordination is used to operate pc keyboard and related office equipment. Position requires ability to travel occasional to other sites, vendor locations or trade shows.
