As a Data Architect , you will be a member of the Data team within the Association’s Risk Management and Technology groups. The Data Architect is responsible for developing SQL Server reporting databases, data marts, and access methods to suport the analystcs and reporting function at Farm Credit East. This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements, design, create, document, manage and fulfill requests for on-going and/or ad-hoc reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities
Reverse engineer legacy data marts using industry standard modeling tools.
Design data models to meet business requirements for analytics and reporting
Document requirements for new databases by collaborations with business unit leaders
Project oversight for the introduction of new data sources as requested by business units
Oversight of projects to synchronize data between applications
Oversight of changes to data within core systems
Design and collaborate on data flow ETL logic for data movement
Design and develop data access methods, datasets, views etc. using industry standard tools.
Coordinate with other team members to understand legacy systems and effectively communicate downstream impacts to changes in data schema
Develop data access methods to support request management, reporting, and project needs.
Develop data modeling and collaborate with business units on data acquisitions, access analysis, archive, recovery, load design and implementation.
Coordinate new data developments to ensure consistency with existing warehouse structure.
Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of front-end presentation (dashboards), automated report solutions, and other BI solutions to support tactical and strategic reporting needs of the organization.
Assists in identification of data integrity problems and recommend solutions.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internally and externally, including but not limited to Senior Management, Business Unit Leaders, Knowledge Exchange, and Farm Credit Financial Partners (FPI).

Job Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or other related field from an accredited University.
Experience with MSFT SQL Server
Knowledge of MSFT Azure (Data Bricks, Data Factory, and Power BI)
Expertise in a modelling and design tool is a must, such as, Erwin, Power Designer, etc.
3 plus years of experience in Finance related informatics, performance measurement, or analysis with strong relational database SQL skills.
2 plus years of experience in designing and developing performance measurement data marts and automated reporting systems.
Experience within a financial institution and knowledge of data needs and structures is a plus.
