This position is located in Eligibility, Enrollment and Member Service (EEMS) Processing Centers , Richland County.
Are you the One? We are looking for a Database Specialist who will perform research and supports evaluation of the workload data and related projects. Prepares regular and ad hoc reports for EEMS leadership, including the management and deputy level. Report topics include but are not limited to workload data, workflow process and staff performance data. These reports may be used to monitor process implementation, progress toward EEMS objectives, identify issues and make data-driven decisions.
The holder of this position may be eligible to telecommute. If telecommuting is approved by management, the employee will be required to maintain all accuracy and timeliness standards as well as meeting individual goals. If accuracy and timeliness standards are not maintained, and individual goals are not met the telecommuting assignment will end.
- Gathers and maintains data to develop detailed and summary reports. Modifies reports and distributions as needed to address changing program needs. Coordinates with division management to create, develop, deliver and maintain specialized reports for regular and ad hoc distribution. Assists with designing reports and other data requests. Prepares and presents findings with statistically sound cost and data analysis.
- Prepares and presents findings with statistically sound, accurate data analysis. Information is presented in a manner that is easily understood. Develops and maintains a strong understanding of eligibility operations to provide meaningful reports and data analysis.
- Maintains and updates data for trend prediction and analysis. Works with the business and/or management to establish business needs to anticipate upcoming issues where utilizing data and reports will be beneficial. Stays abreast of changes within the agency to conduct relevant data analysis needed for outcome prediction or process modification as practicable. Monitors trends in data and data analytics and uses appropriate tools for data analysis and visualization.

A high school diploma and work experience in the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data, systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of database management systems.
A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
