We're in need of DBT Therapists for our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) in Baltimore, Howard, and Olney, locations.!!

Family First Counseling & Psychiatry is looking for DBT Licensed Therapists to join our growing team! We are a fee-for-service OMHC. You are paid for the clients that you see and the type of session you have.

Our primary mission and vision are to provide quality client services while also providing professional growth and training opportunities for our clinicians.

Summary: We are in search of DBT Therapists who desire to grow with us and become valuable community assets. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a fun and growing practice, gain therapy experience, supervision, receive valuable training (including certifications in trauma treatment and DBT), work a flexible and independent schedule, and receive excellent clinical supervision and support. Therapists are paid Fee for Service (Average Annual Compensation $57,000- $85,000). Our rates vary based on the type of sessions you have with the clients.

Your job duties consist of:
1. Complete the PESI 23-hour training within 8 weeks of being hired.
2. Implementation of DBT skills-mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal
effectiveness, and emotion regulation.
3. Establish a treatment plan, with client participation, which specifies treatment structure, outcomes, goals, and objectives.
4. Ensures inclusion of family and other significant parties to develop the plan of care that enhances the potential for greater support from the team.
5. Provides counseling and community-based intervention as often as needed to individuals, couples, and families in group or individual settings, within the framework of the DBT model, and monitor progress.
6. Provides mental health crisis intervention as needed.
7. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops and trainings.
8. Fosters team cooperation, defines teams’ roles and responsibilities, supports group problem solving, ensures progress toward goals, and acknowledges team
accomplishments.
9. Conduct group therapy on a rotating basis, including as “back up”.
10. Work collaboratively with DBT team and be in contact on a daily-weekly basis.
11. Case management services including scheduling appointments, email, and phone contact with family and other professionals.
12. Document clinical services in the EMR within 48-hours and other paperwork as required.
13. Being regularly available for skills phone coaching.
14. Uphold with high regard, the confidentiality of clients and follow all HIPPA guidelines.
15. Answer incoming phone calls from clients whenever possible.
16. Check e-mail throughout the day and respond as appropriate.
17. Maintain a caseload of an average of 8 DBT clients and supplement caseload with non-DBT clients.
18. Required attendance to the monthly DBT consultation group, supervision according to licensure level, and staff meetings.
19. Participate in agency meetings and other events as assigned.
20. Any other duties necessary for the continued function and operation of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51.00 - $81.50 per hour

We are currently working under a hybrid approach-seeing clients in the office, through telehealth, and in the community as needed.

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • community based: 1 year (Required)
  • counseling: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSWC, LGPAT, LCPAT, LGMFT, LCMFT (Required)
