Delivery Driver- Childrens Village Job at Whitsons Culinary Group
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for delivering nutritious meals for students throughout the campus in a safe and healthful manner. Whitsons offers a commuter savings benefit to assist with mass transit commuting. There is a FREE Shuttle to nearby Bus and Train stops.
- Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading.
- Loading and unloading product in a safe and neat manner to make sure goods are correctly stowed.
- Communicate with office.
- Deliver and unload goods at required site.
- Obtain a receipt for goods delivered.
- Vehicle check must be done daily. Vehicle report must be completed weekly.
- Hand in all gas receipts/cards upon getting gas.
- Must maintain an odometer log daily.
- Responsible for daily cleaning of vehicle.
- No other passengers allowed in vehicle unless authorized by manager.
- Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations.
- Must follow strict schedules.
- Responsible for allocating all necessary items and, on some occasions, participating in production.

- Perform all necessary paperwork, including shipping and receiving slips.
- Report all discrepancies regarding food delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary
Certifications:
- Servsafe certification preferred
Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Must possess a clean driver license
- Ability to drive in safe manner
- Always present a positive and professional image.

- The work is performed primarily in the central kitchen
- Standing most of the work day is required.
- Work requires movement in and out of store rooms, refrigerators and freezers
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
