GStek is actively seeking qualified applicants for full-time Desktop Support Specialist openings to provide customer support at our Fort Carson location.
Required:
- U.S. Citizen
- Active/recent U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Experience in Providing end user Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) support on both physical computers and virtual environment. This requires work on both NIPRNET and SIPRNET
- Windows 10 Training
- IAT Level II certification

- Three years Desktop Support and IT related troubleshooting, installation, and configuration experience.
Job Description:
- Provide end user Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) support on both physical computers and virtual environment. This requires work on both NIPRNET and SIPRNET.
- Resolve workstation and server related issues.
- Complete troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and management requests.
- Create Virtual machine templates.
- Create, provision, and manage AppStacks using VMware AppVolumes.
- Create and manage VMware UEM policies using VMware UEM.
- Creation and management of Desktop pools using Vmware Horizon View 7.
- Handle service restoration, and service request.
- Monitor performance and security and assess system functionality and integrity.
- Assist with the analysis and troubleshooting of performance and potential security issues.
- Executes test procedures to assess systems performance, identify and troubleshoot difficult or unusual problems, and analyze results for the implementation of system upgrades.
- Manage service request utilizing BMC ITSM.
Performance of essential and ancillary functions may require:
- Strong knowledge of networking PCoIP, Blast, UDP and TCP/IP.
- Strong scripting PowerShell skills.
- Strong knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, KMS and PKI.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10, GPO and AppLocker.
- Strong knowledge of SSL, TLS certificates and SSO.
- Experience in large-scale and complex environments.
- Experience in using and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure back-end technology such as: VMware vSphere, vCenter, Application Virtualization, Horizon View, VMWare App Volumes, VMWare UEM.
- Experience supporting and administering system patches and updates in a 24×7 production environment.

- Requires near vision acuity to review written documentation.
- Ability hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone.
