Diesel Mechanic/Technician A Job at Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc
Overview:
As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician A, you would be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining all the equipment we use to transport and handle freight. Common equipment you would be working on would be single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks and propane and diesel powered industrial forklifts.
Responsibilities:
Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedule and customer commitments. Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on the component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts. Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown or potential failure. Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system test, brake adjustments, and tire inflation. Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
For this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Driver's License, at least 6 months related experience and/or training.
