Griffith Park Healthcare Center is a 94-bed skilled nursing facility and looking to hire a dedicated full-time Certified Dietary Supervisor. He or she will direct and lead a team of dietary aides/cooks in food preparation to meet resident’s needs in accordance to their diets and physician orders.
Responsibilities:
· Individual will main costs and works to meet budget guidelines. Dietary Supervisor would also assist in preparation of holiday and special meals and events.
· Individual will direct and supervise all dietary functions and staff members in the kitchen.
· Individual will be responsible in disciplining, training, orienting, and hiring their own team
· Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current state and federal guidelines.
· Individual will ensure in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
· Individual will assess and gather food preferences and be aware of any resident allergies
· Individual will be responsible in preparing schedules and address any changes
· Maintain kitchen and food storage area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner
· Transmit order for appropriate food and supplies
· Document and notify Dietician of menu changes
· Check trays for accuracy before they are delivered.
· Plan and presents in-service education programs for the Dietary Department
· Coordinates dietary services with nursing services and activities director. Nutritional notes are to be completed monthly for all residents at nutritional risks.
Requirements:
· High school graduate
· CDM certificate required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
