THE ROLE

The Technology, Engineering and Operational (TEO) organization is an organization with a passion for quality, service and technology and we are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate has the capability and desire to work in a broad capacity across business, technology, strategy, processes and people. You will report directly to the Senior VP of Infrastructure that delivers critical projects with a dynamic group of peers who have ownership of designing and operating IS infrastructure services.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the Senior VP of Infrastructure: This role is responsible for collaborating closely with the TEO Leader and leadership team to support the organization’s vision, mission and key business goals. This person will need to collaborate across an influential team of senior leaders to help set and drive strategy and execution. Will be expected to build a broad understanding of the IS infrastructure services and represent the work of the organization with other leaders across Providence.
  • They will lead the leadership team through key business operations deliverables: Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking around the development of the organizational commitments, priorities, KPI’s, strategies and tactical execution across the leadership team. Owns execution of extended leadership engagement and partners with the leadership team to create compelling content for extended leadership team and managers’ meetings, offsites and communications.
  • Rhythm of the Business: Create and manage strong rhythm of the business calendar that is both predictable and enables success for all participants. Works in partnership with the leadership team to provide solid business content to support monthly business reviews, and updates to leadership. Participated into the Providence IS planning processes to support quarterly, mid-year and fiscal planning review cycles & processes, ensuring alignment across all core areas of the business. Creates partnership with finance, HR, Application teams to deliver all financial, people and planning deliverables including organizational financial management.
  • Organizational Communication: Develops and executes the communications rhythm and strategy for the organization, ensures alignment of messages, and works with peers and subject matter experts in the organization to develop compelling content. Coordinate and prepare presentations for all hands, external events, internal business partner meetings, organizational newsletters and annual communications.
  • People Initiatives: This includes initiatives to improve caregiver survey results. This includes 1) developing a solid training program for both soft and technical skills 2) driving a program for Mission Integration for all employees 3) New employee onboarding documentation for new hires at the SVP and VP level of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering; or equivalent educ/experience
  • Master's Degree; or equivalent educ/experience
  • 10 or more years of related experience; more preferred
  • 5 years of leadership experience leading teams in a complex and fast-paced moving environment
  • Extensive experience leading and delivering large and complex programs across multiple teams, creates environment for successful collaboration, effective management of executive stakeholders, leads resolution of complex issues and roadblocks, inspires and leads quality project delivery
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Extensive expertise in analysis and design, ability to solve complex business problems across multiple projects and programs, remove ambiguity, leverage data driven analysis, negotiate trade offs, ensure business value by identifying pain points and tracking KPIs. Leads team to optimal design
  • Extensive expertise in technical/industry knowledge and depth with the ability to dive deep and quickly understand architecture and technical details, effectively communicate details to non-technical partners, leads engineering improvements and provides insight and guidance in solving complex technical problems. Anticipates industry and market trends and advises/partners with business leaders
  • Extensive expertise in developing, building and sustaining relationships with customers and partners at a strategic level. Proactively meets with customers/partners, builds culture that values partnerships and is responsive to customer needs. Leads strategy and roadmap with business partners
  • Extensive expertise in program and project communications, including communications across internal and external teams and groups, presenting and engaging with IT and Business executives, and creating a culture of transparency and trust
  • Extensive expertise in software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall. Leads evolution and adoption of engineering best practices
