Provide strategic, end-to-end business process, operations and technical guidance for IT application solutions by functional area. Manage and oversee the work of assigned IT operational team(s). Functional areas include: Quality, Global Supply Chain, Labs, etc. IT Application Solutions include: Oracle JDE, Siemens PLM, Siemens MES, Oracle EBPCS, LIMS, and Reliance ETQ.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and plan information technology activities and provide thought leadership and guidance into the short and long-term business and technology plans for assigned client group or region.
Plan and own the technology strategy, architecture roadmap, IT investment plan and be accountable for delivery of IT programs along with production operations to deliver measurable business value by providing secure and compliant technology solutions as we transform Edwards into the digital future
Provide direction and guidance to core IT and business teams to analyze, formulate and provide comprehensive portfolio guidance for IT and Business Managed technology products & services, including financial management, service operations, consumption, security & risk compliance to execute projects, initiative and/or programs
Identify and evaluate complex strategic interface with assigned business units or functional area for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.
Implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the IT portfolio
Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes, prepare, and administer work unit operating budgets; provide recommendations on desired policies and goals and implement new/revised programs according to established guidelines
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM
12+ years of experience in IT (10+ years of experience with a Master's Degree)
Experience building and maintaining business relationship management
Proven experience delivering technical strategy and roadmaps
Additional Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
Proven successful project management skills
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Recognized as an expert within IT specialty and/or business units and broader organization with broad-based expertise across area and related functions
Expert understanding of IT procedures with extensive and detailed knowledge of company allowing for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas
Expert understanding of related aspects of in IT applications and technology
Strong knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to IT applications
Proficient knowledge current technological trends and ability to apply to the future vision
Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of IT to the business
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Ability to represent leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, cross-functional teams and middle management

Travel (day and overnight by car, air, train, etc.) will vary. Percentage of time is determined by Management
