We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Director of Revenue reporting into our Global Controller. This is a high impact role best suited for a goal oriented and ambitious finance leader with a proven record of driving transformation. We are looking for someone who brings a combination of business acumen, accounting expertise, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls.

The role carries high visibility to the senior management including regular interactions with the CFO and senior commercial and operational leadership of the company as well as Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and company’s internal and external auditors.

What You'll Do:


Own and manage all aspects of our order to cash and revenue recognition processes; including:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting of order-to-cash and revenue cycle from order management, invoicing and collections, to revenue recognition issues. You will also lead the billing team
  • Lead month end close activities including preparing, reviewing and reconciling order-to-cash schedules and journal entries
  • Evaluate the revenue accounting for current and contemplated contractual arrangements under ASC 606
  • Review draft revenue contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and participate in draft contract reviews to identify potential revenue recognition issues
  • Research GAAP reporting requirements and provide technical accounting research for non-routine or complex revenue transactions in a timely and effective manner
  • Initiate, review, and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiencies while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the accounting records
  • Participate as a key member of the Deal Desk and collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure contract compliance and process improvements
  • Work to define, improve, and ensure compliance with the company's billing standardization and automation objectives to ensure a streamlined billing process that can be scaled globally
  • Provide revenue recognition guidance and training to cross-functional organizations including Sales, Legal, Finance
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and corporate policies and procedures
  • Guide, mentor and manage a team of revenue accounting and billing professionals
  • Liaison with External auditors, present significant item updates, supporting documentation for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits

What You'll Bring:

  • CPA, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 firm a plus) and management of a revenue accounting function for a public company
  • In depth knowledge of US GAAP and revenue accounting & subject matter expertise in ASC 606
  • Strong Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed oriented and hands on
  • Proven ability to attract, inspire, motivate and develop talent.
  • Inclusive attitude, ability to create alignment at manage cross functional stake holders.
  • Prior knowledge or experience of data, technology, advertisement, ecommerce, preferred.
  • Experience with software packages including NetSuite, SalesForce.com and Microsoft Office Suite
