Role & Function

The Director of Payer Strategy, Access, and Marketing is responsible for identifying, generating, and implementing access tools and resources to ensure reimbursement for one of Sobis products. This individual will be tasked with market-shaping activities to develop strategic reimbursement initiatives and value propositions designed, executed, and deployed to shape the access conversation and instill reimbursement confidence. This Across-Franchise role is a critical partner to our National & Regional Payer Account Directors, Field Reimbursement (FRM) Team, Patient Services Team, and Across-Franchise Sobi NA brand leadership. This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to form cross-functionally partnerships, a strategic mindset, solid market access acumen across payers, launch experience, Buy & Bill and Infusion, and IDN segments of the market access ecosystem. This talented individual must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, drive for results, understand market dynamics, demonstrate excellent judgment, and be motivated to improve patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Essential experience with pre-launch and launch experience, including FDMA 114 and PIE deck creation.
  • Essential Experience with Buy & Bill Reimbursement, infusion medications, inflammation experience
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare, emphasizing Part B and D and Government trends and understanding current healthcare regulations, contracting, and reimbursement.
  • Develop a value proposition development for a Sobi product
  • Experience in developing assets and strategies to engage Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC)
  • Represent the Market Access team as an integral member of the brand marketing team.
  • Collaborate with marketing on product and customer strategies to support brand value propositions and secure market access/formulary acceptance of a Sobi product.
  • Lead the development of market access marketing materials to support the overall brand strategy.
  • Give input on strategy and supporting pull-through programs supporting key company initiatives.
  • Complete projects and achieve goals on time while delivering high-quality results.
  • Lead the Market Access field teams in defining and executing customer-specific access strategies.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional field team to develop and implement strategies around reimbursement, formulary access, and product pull-through within the Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Health System, and Government channels.
  • Exhibit ownership and accountability for all projects and internal assignments.
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory departments to ensure proper compliance.
  • Attend key organizational meetings and conferences such as AMCP, PCMA, and Asembia.
  • Provide leadership and development to internal and external matrix teams.
  • Maintain open communication throughout the organization, especially regarding cross-functional efforts.
  • Review and analyze product performance at all levels of the Market Access organization and communicate account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful pharmaceutical experience.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of successful experience in account management/payer strategy in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Launch experience
  • Extensive managed care and account management experience.
  • Experience and expertise in payer marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of current trends in regulation, contracting, and reimbursement.
  • Experience in working with HEOR, understanding the effects of policy changes on the Managed Care environment, and communicating the influence of these on a strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Highly successful and demonstrated experience implementing pull-through programs.
  • Ability to complete projects and achieve goals on time while delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment and demonstrated integrity on the job.

  • Outstanding corporate environment, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally.

  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data sets to determine trends and establish strategies.

  • The base salary pay range for this role is $210,000 - $240,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
