We’re looking for an amazing Director, Procurement Operations- Technical to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for Marine & Technical procurement operations for Princess cruises & co-manage Holland America Line, Seabourn and P&O Australia. The Marine & Technical category includes spares, consumables, and services in the following areas (not exhaustive): Diesel Generators, Life-saving equipment, Fire & Safety, Tools and MRO, Electrical Distribution, Elevators, Galley Equipment, Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, etc. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, results oriented, excellent project manager, able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities. This role is hands on and will manage a procurement operations team. The geographic scope of work is global as our brands operate in most regions of the world. Primary responsibilities and challenges include building a Strategic Sourcing team that works closely with inventory management and tactical sourcing teams. Key to success will be to build trust with stakeholders and to think outside the box to develop efficient procurement operations. Preferred location is either Santa Clarita (CA) or Fort Lauderdale (FL). Position can be remote for a person with right background and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the ongoing procure-to-pay process related to Marine & Technical category; ensures procurement catalogs, contracts, reports are maintained, monitored, and up to date.
  • Streamlines the procure-to-pay process, gains efficiency improvement through task elimination, simplification, standardization, and digitization. Develops and implements operating plans and appropriate KPIs to measure functional effectiveness. Effectively communicate plans and impacts to brand leadership by developing succinct business cases.
  • Manages and maintains documentation of all procurement processes including process flows, business process documentation, work instructions, end-user training.
  • Ensures accurate analytics, measurement of SLAs and KPIs; reports on end-to-end processes and business outcomes; develop and optimize self-service dashboards that will be used by key stakeholders across the company
  • Leads projects from requirements definition to deployment ensuring projects are completed on time and produce the desired results.
  • Develop trusted relationship across stakeholder teams; is viewed as a valued business partner. Influences change and buy-in across the stakeholder groups and leadership.
  • Manage team of 4+ procurement operations professionals. Provide clear direction and effective feedback. Develop, coach and provide training as needed. Continuously improve skill level of team. Develop team skill sets and supply chain knowledge.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, Hospitality, and/or Science required
  • Master’s degree on business, Supply Chain, or another preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience required; 5+ years of experience managing people
  • Experience with engineering materials, commodities, a plus
  • Experience with Procurement within cruise lines, a plus
  • Experience working in fast-paced, results-oriented environments.
  • Strategic thought leader, including strategy planning, formulation, implementation.
  • Results-oriented under fast-paced, ambiguous conditions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including developing Power Point presentations and frequently presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills: Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, model information in Excel, financial analysis, draw conclusions from data.
  • Proficient in the use of computer business applications and Excel.
  • Excellent people management skills: clear expectations/feedback, consistent coaching, and development. Ability to effectively lead in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities. Identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Well-developed influencing skills and stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management skills including excellent communication, collaboration, problem solving, and time management.

  • Base Salary Range: $ 127,000.00 to $ 171,500.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
