As the Division Controller, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of all accounting and financial analysis functions of a 40+ unit franchise Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) division.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Execute monthly accounting close process.
  • Analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure effective store operations.
  • Supervise the daily cash and other collection account reconciliations, ensuring timely follow up with store-level discrepancies.
  • Attain advanced knowledge of company's accounting software and tools to monitor internal controls.
  • Maintain and create system improvements of general ledger system and all interfacing systems with internal modules, external vendor systems, POS feeds, allocations, and account analysis to support the balances in the balance sheet.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and analysis of results.
  • Maintain fixed asset records.
  • Manage the annual operating budget process.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics and look for improvement opportunities and incremental efficiencies.
  • Coordinate with all levels of management and field operations to drive communication and accountability of key metrics and budget performance.
  • Work with external auditors and provide needed workpapers, schedules and analyses.

To be considered, you will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA license preferred
  • Ten years or more in accounting, auditing, or financial analyst position with multiple years of supervisory experience desired.
  • Multi-unit restaurant or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Desire to improve processes and efficiencies and work with operations team to improve bottom-line results.
  • Proficient in Acumatica or similar accounting software and restaurant back-office system experience a plus.
