Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

Are you addicted to the thrill of creating? As NFM's Planning Manager you will be responsible for managing the Merchandise Planning team within the divisions. Drive the continued growth, evolution and development of the planning team and the division’s planning and forecasting process including; sales, margin and forecasting, annual budget development, business reporting and evaluating current business trends and new business opportunities.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
  • Be the Expert: Manage and improve the policies, processes and the buying process to meet the needs of the division, internal and external customers
  • Leave your Mark: Develop long term strategies that lay out the plans for future growth and profit improvements
  • Unravel: Collaborate and consult with Supply Chain, Replenishment and Allocation departments to effectively utilize the seasonal selling curves by region, climate and store attribute
  • Collaborate: Collaborate with store operations, finance and merchandising teams to ensure alignment in all retail strategies
  • Play Your Part: Establish a best practice for product flow for each quarter, season and year

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, finance or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 7 years on merchandise planning or financial/business analysis, modeling and forecasting experience
  • 7 years of experience in a retail environment
  • 5 years supervisory/management experience
  • Strong planning and buying experience with solid understanding of financial and statistical analysis of both
  • Strategic leadership experience applying business and financial analysis skills and knowledge to solve business problems and influence decision making
  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
