Job Opening – Drafter/Designer with Pioneer Cladding & Glazing Systems in Baltimore, MD

Drafters and Designers review architectural and structural drawings, interpret project scope documents and apply engineering, basic math and architectural principles to generate shop and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software. They participate in formulating the design of building envelopes, fenestration, and other interior and exterior architectural elements including but not limited to unitized curtain walls, entrances, punched windows, coping and interior partitions. Drafters and Designers revise redlined drawings and support production control, shop, and field personnel during the manufacturing of designed assemblies and components.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must also have:

• High School diploma and at least 3 years' drafting experience OR an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Design and Drafting or related field (or within 3 months of completing degree).
• Well-developed drafting and mechanical drawing skills using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, construction specifications and bid documents, preferred.
• Knowledge of basic engineering and architectural principles related to different types of structures (e.g., poured concrete, steel, etc.), preferred.
• Ability to perform moderately complex calculations using basic math and trigonometry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and have successfully worked in a fast-paced environment.
• Curtainwall experience is preferred.
