This is a great opportunity to join a growing Biotechnology company in Ellsworth, ME. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on various electrical systems including high voltage and secondary circuits, lighting systems, fire protection systems, automation systems as well as various other equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operates, maintains, installs, repairs, replaces, troubleshoots, test and responds to routine and emergency service calls as they relate to Electrical Systems and its components
• Assists in the design, installation and commissioning of new and modification of existing Electrical Systems and its components.
• Assists with maintenance and operation of Building Automation System, Fire Protection Systems, Security Systems, HVAC Systems, Lighting, Process Equipment Systems (autoclaves, tunnel washers, bottle washers, and rack washers), Building Maintenance, Utility Plant Systems (high pressure & low pressure steam boilers, water boilers, chillers, cooling towers, hot & cold water systems, pumping systems, steam systems, steam traps, PRV stations, water treatment, animal drinking water & domestic water systems) and other tasks as they apply to demands of the department.
• Monitors and responds to local alarm systems on HVAC, Fire and Security systems.
• Provides immediate diagnosis and remedy to plant issues and/or contacts formal on-call maintenance personnel and/or contractors for assistance.
• Utilizes CMMS to track and preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and create work orders.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of electrical systems including planning additions or modifications.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operations, control drawings and control loops.
• Understanding of Electrical Systems, Fire Protection Systems, Security Systems, Lighting,
• With or without assistance, must be able to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and job-related materials and/or equipment.
• Minimum Education – Associate’s Degree
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation

Salary: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
