Electro-Mechanical Technician Job at Lionbridge Technologies
Position Objective:
Seeking a technician with very strong electro-mechanical background to support a fast-paced design team in development, test, and troubleshooting of 3D printers. Candidate must possess strong electronic and mechanical skills, and able to use a variety of test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, DMM's, etc. Must be a self-starter, team player, able to change priorities quickly and have excellent communication skills. The primary goal is to provide a high level of support to the engineering design community to maximize efficiency in developing 3D printer designs.

Essential Functions:
- Support the Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineering design groups by building and maintaining prototypes, troubleshooting, testing and building test fixtures.
- Ability to work with little supervision to develop test fixtures and execute engineering tests.
- Diagnose product problems and communicate symptoms to software, mechanical or electrical engineers.
- Document test results and enter findings in a formal bug tracking database.
Qualifications Desired:
- AA/AS degree with advanced electronic theory and principles and minimum 3 years experience in a product development environment supporting engineering experimentation, process development, laboratory testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Linux/MS-Windows software command/tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, self-directed environment, document detailed results, and communicate symptoms to engineers.
- Software/Electronics/Mechanical test and troubleshooting experience.
- Computer proficient (Linux, Windows).
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- CAD experience a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills a must
