Electronics Assembler – Charlotte, NC

Kinequip is quickly expanding and looking to add an electronics assembler associate to our fast growing team. We are the leader of innovative design and manufacturing of products for the specialty vehicle industry. We pride ourselves in taking cutting edge concepts and creating revolutionary products that exceed our customer’s needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with assembly of cable harnesses, soldering, wiring & crimping, and various electronic assemblies.
  • Setting up and maintaining various cable and wire processing machines.
  • Perform mechanical assembly on various electrical devices.
  • Set-up and use of wire processing and crimp machines.
  • Comprehend assembly drawings and follow assembly processes and procedures.
  • Use tools provided for the manufacture of electronics and/or cable assemblies, i.e., solder stations, wire strippers, crimp tools, etc.
  • Adhere to Quality procedures to ensure safety of product.
  • Performs standard testing and minor troubleshooting.
  • Performs duties as assigned that may periodically be repetitive in nature.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma and 1-3 years related experience in the electronics field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Precision hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components is a plus.
  • Computer competency in MS Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, accessing computer network drives etc. and ability to access information needed is a plus.
  • Quality orientated with high attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform basic mathematics and measuring (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; use a ruler to measure lengths and widths accurately).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand for sustained periods of time, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp

  • Experience working with teams and perform as a strong team player.
  • Asks for and offers help.
  • Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on production floor.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new things.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
