The Electronics Commodity Manager will partner with key stakeholders to create and deploy global sourcing strategy to drive world class supply chain performance and create and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continuous performance expectations are met and productivity targets are achieved.

- Partner with key stakeholders to create and deploy global sourcing strategy to drive world class supply chain performance
- Create and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continuous performance expectations are met and year over year productivity targets are achieved by conducting proper supplier management techniques.
- Lead key negotiations and contract development
- Lead VA/VE initiatives and drive project implementations
- Communicate and present opportunities and risks of the category to upper management, site management, and peers, and leverage resources internally and externally to deliver business outcomes.
- Manage supply chain risk and product EOL to ensure supply chain continuity
- Keep current on categories market, cost drivers and economic outlook to guide strategy
- Organize technical reviews with supplier and prepare RFQ for new and current business
- Perform data analysis on commodity spend, supplier performance and market intelligence
- Build partnerships and develop relationships with key component suppliers and EMS suppliers;
- Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electronics components and component manufacturing processes in both the technical aspects and overall industry knowledge.
- Identifies potential new suppliers and partners for both Regal direct sourcing and for EMS partner sourcing/directed buy and makes recommendations on supplier selection and quality compliance.
- Execute strategic supply agreement with Distribution Partners and Electronic Manufacturers on ensuring supply continuity.
- Establish a strategic approved vendor program for key components
- Performs focused supplier negotiations and develops low risk, competitive long-term total cost solutions using creativity and analytics.
- 20% travel expected
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. Minimum 8+ years total work experience.
- Strong commodity management and Strategic Sourcing experience, minimum 5 years
- Demonstrated ability to work with EMS providers in coordinating component supplier designations and managing ASLs (Approved Supplier Lists)
- Experience with manufacturing of and/or purchasing of electronic components with particular focus on semiconductors
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations; be a self-directed leader
- Robust people skills that include developing strong relationships and solving complex problems
- Excels in a team environment, driving demonstrated results
- Strong business acumen and project management skills
- Strong communicator, both within the team and to leadership, and to executives/senior leaders at external suppliers.
- Experience in developing and negotiating supplier legal agreements
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point
