Job Description for Principal / Director of Trinity Lutheran School, Pueblo, Colorado
The mission of Trinity Lutheran School is to provide a Christ-centered foundation for life, and to challenge our students to strive for excellence. The principal / director of Trinity Lutheran School acts in a manner that is professional, ethical, legal, and consistent with this mission and philosophy of the school, as outlined below and detailed in the Professional Worker’s Handbook.
Pay range - $45,000 - $50,000

Trinity Lutheran School has in-person teaching and operates 5 days per week, with holiday and summer vacations. Summer hours for the principal are at least 3 days per week, four hours per day
Required qualifications
5 years teaching experience or equivalent experience in administration/operations and leading people and strong Christian values
The principal/director:
- Serves as a role model, conducting daily faculty devotions and participation in Bible study, church attendance and Holy Communion.
- Directs and/or supervises school curriculum development and teacher evaluation.
- Oversees a school environment where students, parents, teachers and support staff enable each student to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and academically.
- Coordinates fundraising efforts with the parent-teacher organization.
- Communicates regularly to the Board of Education and keeps school families up- to-date on school functions.
- Works with faculty to publish a weekly parent newsletter.
- Recruits and enrolls students; maintains proper records of students, faculty and support staff; and works with the Church Treasurer to manage the school budget.
