Residential Services, Inc.(RSI) is hiring a full-time Employment Specialist to help people with disabilities find and maintain competitive employment. What you’ll do as an Employment Specialist :
As an Employment Specialist, you will assist people in discovering career interests, developing an individualized employment plan, and learning employment skills to help them achieve their goal of finding and maintaining competitive employment. Duties will include:

• Implement employment exploration, employment development and employment support services utilizing the concept of discovery and how it applies to employment services.
• Assist in the development of individualized employment plans.
• Assist people with securing community based independent employment.
• Market employment services to potential employers and internal and external referral sources.
• Develop and maintain networks of employment contacts and resources.
• Assist people receiving services to be as independent as possible at their job site or community activity site.
• Transport people to and from their residence, job site, and other community activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hours for this position are typically Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm with occasional weekends/evenings as needed.


For this position, you will need:

• A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and have a working vehicle
• To pass a post-offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check
• Education/Experience:
• 1. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field or
• 2. Four years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or
• 3. Associate’s degree in behavioral science or related field and two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
