EMR Trainer Job at Las Mercedes Management
Title of Position: EMR Trainer
Position Summary: To provide training on MDVita and related systems to all end users and to assist in the development of training materials, training content and topics for the on-going EMR training.
Responsibilities:
- Train new hire employees and providers on the use of the EMR system MDVita
- Develop and deliver end-user training on functionality in the EMR and other applications used.
- Review and analyze workflows of existing employees and providers to coach and train on efficient use of the EMR.
- Work with pre-release versions of the software to develop modifications to training material.
- Handles problem recognition, research, resolution, and follow-up for EMR software application problems.
- Consult with EMR software vendor for assistance in explaining software questions/problems to end-users.
- Provide instructions to users over the phone, email or by written documentation.
- Conducts educational sessions where appropriate to each user on how to correct or prevent errors.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively both internally and externally with a wide range of staff including physicians, clinical staff, management and EMR vendor.
- Comfortable presenting training materials in a group or individual setting.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Posses strong critical thinking skills
- Able to handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Ability to make timely decisions.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, training, IT or healthcare operations
- Experience in EMR administration (preferably MDVita)
- Knowledge of front-office and back-office utilization of electronic medical records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual
Job Type: Full-time
