Endpoint Security Engineer

As a Barclays Endpoint Security Engineer, you will be accountable for various security services that CSO operates - specifically within the Endpoint Security technologies domain, as well as global security engineering team. You will analyze requirements, and lead the vision for various product features and design solutions, meeting user demand for configuration/policy changes. You will work in collaboration to deliver large programs of work, owning and taking the technical lead ensuring items are completed as expected.

What will you be doing?

• Participating in successful implementation of security operations requirements into solutions
• Delivering of product roadmaps to support the evolution of core security services, aligning deliveries to Barclays’ strategy
• Acting as a subject matter expert on Endpoint Security technologies and provide Level-3 Engineering support
• Working closely with on-shore and off-shore teams to enhance/upgrade/uplift existing services and provide Level-3 engineering support
• Using technical practices and striving for technical excellence both in security and network development
• Building a healthy working relationship with Cyber Operations and Technology teams and helping them define requirements
• Operating, configuring, and fine-tuning endpoint detection logic, while also providing operational reporting to assist in feeding the organizations’ key control and risk indicators
• Providing high quality documentation for internal customers and technical support teams

What we’re looking for:

• Career proven history of sassiting and being in security services at enterprise scale and exposure to cloud technologies, AWS, Azure and SaaS based security solutions
• Knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response tools, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection, CrowdStrike or MS Defender for Endpoint
• Knowledge of the Windows operating system as well as security network architectures e.g., Firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers, and the principles of networking
• Understands change management, risk management, handling major and minor incidents, disaster recovery planning/ testing and meeting requirements of rigorous audit mandates

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Relevant professional certifications in information technology or cloud security e.g., CISSP, CCSP.AZ 500
• Experience working with and supporting *nix and windows server platforms and technical knowledge of Cybersecurity ecosystem and tooling
• Ability to work in remote teams, set and control own workload and be able to lead and mentor others
• Basic/Intermediate level of scripting/coding ability e.g., Python, PowerShell in the context of automation programmatic operation of tools
