Pay: $100,000-$110,000 Base – 10% Bonus – Company Vehicle – Relocation Assistance

Our client is an energy and environmental services company providing support to many power plants and industrial facilities across the U.S. This position would be running the environmental programs of up to 2 plants in the Athens area with a fully covered company vehicle and gas. There is a direct growth path into a regional level position as well whether over a group of plants in the U.S. or internationally. Job Description:

• May serve on combined plant Safety Committee as the environmental site expert
• Assists in preparing the plant(s) environmental related budget.
• Leads and coordinates facility testing: combustion equipment, stack, wastewater discharge, and solid waste characterization
• Works closely with managers and supervisors to develop schedules and plans based on the facility’s operating requirements and equipment needs. Meets formally and informally with all departments to ensure plans are supported and all environmental requirements are in place.
• Manages Title V air compliance program.
• Manages environmental record-keeping and reporting program. Prepares reports for regulatory submittal. Maintains plant environmental records including permits, compliance data, training records etc, including DMR submissions
• Identifies risks and provides mitigation plans which are consistent with business performance and reliability goals.
• Establishes management systems that support company goals and meet/or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Develops cost-effective staffing/consultant/employee utilization plan.
• Integrates concepts into all facets of power plant business, finance and capital planning, performance modeling, operations, maintenance, and engineering.
• Provides air regulatory expertise. Develops long term strategies to enhance company’s stake in economic based compliance programs.
• Performs site environmental assessments and due diligence for projects.
• Audits environmental program implementation. Works closely with Managers and Supervisors to ensure effective implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures including inspections.
• Serves as contact to regulatory agencies. Assists in negotiating any new and/or modifications to facility permits. Provides notification to government agencies as required.
• Prepares estimates, specifications, and schedules for environmental consultants, contractor, and equipment upgrades. Responsible for related project management, and cost and progress reports.
• Provides input into proposals or actual changes to plant operations.
• Develops and manages hazardous materials emergency response and contingency planning efforts. Coordinates facility program with response contractors and Government Agencies.
• Serves as planning Team Leader for Toxic Use Reduction and Storm Water Pollution Prevention.
