A Day in the Life of a Region Environmental Specialist:

• Manage the timing, quality, and cost of environmental engineering support services such as auditing, planning, inspecting, monitoring, recordkeeping, and training.
• Analyze data and prepare summaries, recommendations, and cost estimates for consideration by local and regional management.
• Conduct on-site audits, technical visits, and training. Site visits will involve exposure to environmental elements which will include chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, wastewater, and weather extremes.
• Compose technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Develop training materials.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a highly regulated industry. Waste services experience is preferred.
• A working knowledge of environmental regulations
• Above average computer skills (word, excel).
• Great oral and written skills
• The willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
