Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Trouble-shooting and performing Preventative Maintenance on Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment., which includes dismantling, adjusting, repairing and calibrating complex electro-mechanical sub-assembles
  • Works on a Compressed Work Week schedule in a Cleanroom environment
  • Competency in using Digital Volt Meters, hand tools and diagnostic equipment used to perform trouble-shooting
  • Clear understanding for Statistical Process Control and how it applies to manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Ability to read schematics and CAD drawings as aids in successful trouble-shooting
  • Engages in Preventative and Predictive maintenance activities
  • Maintain Safe Work Environment and acts as a safety role model for others in the company
  • A can do attitude of working in a team work environment or independently.
  • Assists Staff Equipment Engineers with writing preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
  • Accurate record keeping on maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
  • 2 Year Associates Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, equivalent US military experience or applicable work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and factory Automation software such as PROMIS or Camstar
  • Verbal and written fluency in English Language

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $46,500 - $81,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
