Equipment Room Assistant-palldium Athletic Facility Job at New York University
Position Summary:
Provide support for various areas of the athletic facility; monitor equipment room, laundry room, recreational area and Pro-Shop activities. Assign and distribute equipment; resolve scheduling conflicts; open and close areas; ensure security, quality an safety standards; oversee locker clearance; balance daily sales receipts; collect fees and transmit sales receipts and fees; launder clothing. Assemble equipment; perform routine maintenance and basic repair of equipment including laundry machines, treadmills, bikes, stair masters, rowers and life steps.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
Some relevant training.
Required Experience:
6-12 months of related experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience providing basic customer support in an athletic environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic equipment operations and maintenance.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must have current CPR, First Aid, and Automatic External Defibrillator certificates.
Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $30.63. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts.
