ESTIMATOR Job at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation
Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. We have an opening for an Estimator. This is a remote position.
An Estimator is responsible for supporting the Sales and Customer Service teams with customer project estimates. Regular activities may include working with customers and/or architects to plan cost factors for building projects, analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. Regular use of computer programs such as AppliCad, Top View, Retro Master, and/or AutoCAD is the norm.
You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Completing take off using current estimating software
- Completing reviews based off of testing requirements in specifications
- Completing accurate and descriptive documents representing project details on materials
- Supplying quote package to plant personnel
- Supporting inquiries from MSMC teams and customers
Job Requirements:
The most qualified candidates will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the building materials industry
- Experience with estimating and detailing commercial projects
- Solid mathematical skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and estimating software such as AutoCAD, AppliCad, Top View
- Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting/AutoCAD preferred; HS Diploma or equivalent required
