The Event Sales Coordinator will contribute a high level of positive customer service while working as a team to meet sales targets. The Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for booking, upselling, and the execution of events to ensure guest satisfaction and increased revenue.


You will be expected to:

  • Coordinate any and all events including but not limited to; Corporate Events, In-House Events, Off-site Events, Fundraisers, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of all aspects of facility, and event packages, pricing, weekly specials, special events, and anything going on throughout the venue in order to efficiently speak on behalf of the Event Sales department.
  • Schedule events & parties based on knowledge of center availability.
  • Check data accuracy in orders and invoices.
  • Display programs, using flyers and brochures, and check to confirm info is current.
  • Communicate daily event details effectively and on a timely manner with all departments and MODs.
  • Communicate with guest prior to event to confirm menu choices, seating arrangements and final guest count.
  • Quote price and prepare BEO, event orders and sales contracts.
  • Meet and greet event clients and confirm BEO information/details with Client.
  • Prepare for each event to ensure that the event runs smoothly from beginning to end and reviews all details with team on off days.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on planned events, post-event feedback and data (attendance at event, email addresses obtained, events/parties booked, etc.)
  • Work with FOH staff regarding events. (staffing, items needed for execution, etc.)
  • Build relationships with guests to create repeat clients, receive positive reviews, and continually bring in new business.
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records.
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally.
  • Help to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Assist in training new Sales employees.
  • Complete any other task assigned by Management.

This is an hourly position with commissions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required or GED equivalent.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in the Food & Beverage and / or Hospitality industry.
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a professional appearance & apparel at all times
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications and Google Docs
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • 1-2 years experience working as a Sales Admin or Event planner.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment that requires being on your feet for an extended period of time.
  • Employment subject to successfully completing a Background Check and/or CORI Screening.
  • Experience with Tripleseat or CenterEdge a plus.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time.
